Georgetown Adds Former Pac-12 Guard to Roster as Walk-On
In need of shooting, Georgetown will be bringing on a shooting guard from the Pac-12 as a walk-on to help address its depth issues at guard.
Former Oregon State guard Donovan Grant will be joining the Georgetown men’s basketball roster as a walk-on this year, according to multiple sources close to the program.
Grant, a 6-foot-6, 200-lb. shooting guard from Atlanta, Georgia, was unranked as a high school recruit, and did not see the floor for Oregon State this past season.
Grant was originally pictured earlier in the spring with other members of the team on Copley Lawn, by the front gates at Georgetown. Now, he joins a Georgetown team in need of another guard who can play off the ball and provide some shooting.
Before coming to Oregon State, Grant, who attended The Skills Factory in high school, participated in the NBA Academy for two years, playing against teams like Team Africa, Team China, Team Mexico, and NBA Academy Australia.
As a high school player, Grant led his the Under Armour Association Travel Circuit in three-point percentage.
